Dr. Subhashini Rama Linggam is a distinguished Malaysian professional, internationally celebrated women’s empowerment advocate and award-winning pageant titleholder whose life’s work bridges the boardroom, the stage and the community. A qualified lawyer by training and a senior human resources executive by vocation, she has spent more than two decades demonstrating that ambition, family and purpose are not competing forces but deeply complementary ones.

Today she serves as Vice President of Human Resources & Administrations at OSHRS a leading Asia-Pacific multi-country payroll and HR-solutions firm headquartered in Damansara Heights, Kuala Lumpur where she oversees transformative HR and payroll solutions for enterprise clients spanning more than 20 countries. Her portfolio encompasses HR technology innovation, managed HR services and global statutory compliance, cementing her reputation as a trusted authority in international people management. In January 2026, Dr. Subhashini was conferred an Honorary Doctorate in Women Empowerment & Leadership by Dunster Business School, Switzerland. This honour crowns a lifetime of purposeful achievement and positions her among an elite cohort of women-led change-makers on the world stage.


P R O F E S S I O N A L C A R E E R

Dr. Subhashini’s professional journey is a testament to intellectual versatility and relentless drive. After earning her Bachelor of Laws (LLB Hons) from the University of Northumbria, Newcastle, United Kingdom, she launched her career at the nexus of law and academia, serving as Head of Administration & Legal at Carlton International Academy before pivoting into Malaysia’s fast-growing digital economy. From 2009 to 2016 she served as Funding Manager at the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), the government agency spearheading the nation’s digital transformation agenda.

This role placed her at the heart of national economic policy, managing grant frameworks and stakeholder engagement for Malaysia’s technology ecosystem. She subsequently deepened her HR expertise at Perfect Colors Sdn Bhd, before joining global staffing powerhouse The Adecco Group as Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) from 2019 to 2022, advising Fortune 500 clients across Asia-Pacific. Her appointment as Vice President at OSHRS with over 20 years of cumulative HR leadership represents the pinnacle of a meticulously built career across law, digital and human-capital domains.

Dr. Subhashini’s foray into competitive pageantry is, at its core, a story of deliberate courage. A lifelong ambition she had shelved through the demands of education, career and motherhood. She stepped onto the stage for the first time in 2019 as a married mother of two with the explicit intention of dismantling the myth that such accolades belong only to the young and unencumbered. Competing at the Lumiere International grand finale in Johor Bahru against sixteen fellow Malaysian mothers across four rounds i.e. self-introduction, Kebaya catwalk, evening-gown presentation and Q&A .She won the title of Mrs Asia Global Universe 2019/20 alongside five subsidiary awards.

National publications including Varnam Malaysia and Malay Mail covered her landmark victory, cementing her status as a trailblazer for married women in the pageant world. She subsequently represented Asia at the Mrs Global Universe 2020 world finale in Singapore, competing alongside delegates from 30 countries. Her international features in World Class Beauty Queens Magazine and World Class Queens of Asia Magazine (Issue 7) further amplified her global profile as a queen who wears her crown with lasting purpose. Her platform “Women Empowerment” was never merely a pageant-day position. Her defining declaration, “I want to be the voice for those who are voiceless,” resonated far beyond the stage, drawing a growing community of women who credit her as a catalyst for their own aspirations.

P E R S O N A L L I F E & V A L U E S

Born and raised in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Dr. Subhashini is the only daughter among three siblings, her elder brother Moganadass Rama Linggam and her twin brother Kogulakannan Rama Linggam. She credits her parents, Mr. Rama Linggam Nadesen and Mrs. Barigavi Balan Nair, as the foundational architects of her character their unconditional love forming, in her own words, an amazing super team that made her who she is.

She is joyfully married to Mr. Thayabaran Munusamy for over twenty years and together they are parents to daughter Thareni Thayabaran (16) and son Tharun Thayabaran (9). Her family remains the bedrock of every ambition, every title pursued, every stage mounted, done with their unwavering support and in honour of their shared sacrifices.

A devoted practitioner of Tamil culture and tradition, Dr. Subhashini favours the saree as her signature attire. Her personal passions include cooking, baking, art and craft which is all cultivated since childhood alongside reading and quality family time. Her travels have taken her to England, Scotland, France, Singapore, India, Indonesia, and Thailand. Dr. Subhashini Rama Linggam   She values faithfulness and loyalty above all else. Her personal motto, lived consistently across every chapter of her remarkable life: “If one puts their heart and soul into anything they do, victory is definite.”
